A graduate of the University of New Brunswick, Canada and UWI ROYTEC with a Master’s Degree in Education and qualifications in Drama and Theatre in Education as well as Human Resource Management, Natalie Gilman Gibbs is an accomplished educator with over twenty-five years of experience.
Influenced by a variety of educational thinkers and theories such as Jean Piaget’s child development focus, Howard Gardner’s Multiple Intelligences and B.F. Skinner's behaviorism to name a few, her passionate focus is on the development of the whole child by identifying and honouring every child’s innate talents and abilities.
She believes in creating and maintaining an educational environment in which all members of the school community feel valued and respected. At the helm of Barataria Anglican Primary School, she intends to continue building upon the strong foundation laid by her predecessors and to cement the school's position as one of the top primary schools in the east/west corridor of Trinidad and Tobago.
Her teaching career spans two decades and a half with a concentration on the formative years to which her passion lies.
Over these years, she has held administrative roles of Head of Department, Vice Principal and Acting Principal at two institutions. Her areas of expertise are in early childhood education, youth guidance and a working knowledge of administration procedures.
